Story Telling Sessions
A storytelling session at Oxford Bookstore was held on 10.7.16. The audience was a mixture of children, teenagers and adults. Animal stories, fairytales, folklores were shared with the audience. It was really a challenging task to cater to all age groups at the same time, but in the end, it was found out that everyone is a child by heart and loves to hear stories, irrespective of one's so called age group.

The storytelling session was organized for kids aged 7-12 yrs at Oxford Bookstore, New Delhi. It was an interactive session. Variety of stories ranging from humour, wit, intelligence, folktales and tales of moral values were incorporated. Children were hooked to the stories till the end. It was a session filled with fun and entertainment.

Storytelling sessions were conducted at centres of the NGOs Bal Sahyog, Connaught Place, New Delhi and SAKSHI, Gurgaon and at National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi.
Stories of different genres were told to children. Far from being passive listeners, children were engaged in role-playing throughout the sessions, making the experience interactive and delightful.
A storytelling session at Oxford Bookstore was held on 17.7.16. Folktales and other stories with values were shared with the audience. The little ones as well as the adults enjoyed the session.

A multi stakeholder Consultative Meet On Read To Kids Mobile based application was organized at the Mayor hall, Civic Centre by SARD (Society For All Round Development) and Worldreader (a global non profit organisation). A session of storytelling with enactment was taken where it was shown how stories help in building the vocabulary and language of the child. Various dignitaries from NCERT, DIET, CBT, NBT, Katha and some ngo's were also present .

An evening was dedicated to one of the greatest writers of modern Hindi and Urdu literature: Munshi Premchand. Few of his stories like Idgaah, Kazaaki, Thakur Ka Kuan, Boodhi kaaki, Nasha etc. were brought to life on his 136th birth anniversary. The relevance of his stories in the modern era was also highlighted.
What a nice idea to have a Birthday celebration at a bookstore such as Oxford Bookstore and have a storytelling session which adds value to the occasion! A storytelling session with enactment was taken at Oxford Bookstore as a celebration of the birthday of a four year child. Children and adults were actively engaged. It was a storytelling with a difference.

Various storytelling sessions were conducted for the children of DPS Rohini for classes II to V. Stories of humour, wit and values were told through enactment. Children enjoyed the sessions thoroughly.

The storytelling session was a great success as the children, parents and grandparents were all hooked up to the stories. Celebrating a birthday among books and the characters of stories was a very special experience for everyone present over there.
