KATHA Utsav 2024 (Katha National Writers’ Workshop 2024 Regional Sessions)
KATHA Utsav National Writers’ Workshop 2024, North Regional was held at Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon. 257 children gathered to understand the writing techniques. It was fun, discovery, and building connections. There were seven mentors who guided the children for two days.Ms.Usha Chhabra transformed her workshop into a mini stage production! The children brought a lively jalebi shop to life with shouts of “aiye aiye” (come, come), “dhakka mat do” (do not push), “line banaiye sabko milega” (make a line, everyone will receive)! As they acted out scenes, they discovered how to channel emotions and create characters with depth and energy. Story structure was explained by telling them a captivating story. Various prompts were given to challenge them. It was an enriching experience for all of them.
