Storytelling Training sessions held at Aligarh and Shravasti
Vigyan Foundation emerged as a creative and collective response to the needs of the people so as to passionately advocate for the rights of the deprived and the most vulnerable sections of the society, be it children, women, slum dwellers or the homeless community.
The core strategy of the organization is mobilizing the community around issues that concern them and empowering them to organize and work towards realization of their rights.
Storytelling training sessions were organised at the centres of Aligarh and Shravasti. Around 100 youths who work with the community in the villages were trained. Role of voice modulation, use of props and body movement in storytelling was explained through demonstration of different stories. Theatre exercises were also done by the participants.
