Storytelling sessions at Katha Yatra Festival at Scholars Global School, Bahadurgarh

Three days Katha Yatra Festival was celebrated at Scholars Global School, Bahadurgarh. Various activities were planned for different classes. Storytelling sessions were taken by me for the students of classes I and II and classes VI and VII. For classes I and II, different stories of tortoise were done. Children were actively engaged throughout the session. For classes Vi and VII, stories of tigers were told. Art, wildlife conservation, Project Tiger, mythology and folk tales around tigers, all were woven together.  Through mask, props, voice modulation and gestures, the stories were brought live to the audience.

Understand the basics of Storytelling, its importance and role of puppets in storytelling. We will also make a puppet as an activity in the end.
