Feedback from the school:
The sessions were quite engaging, and kept the students engrossed and interactive. The storyteller, Ms. Usha, used many props and visuals to narrate the stories. For smaller Grades, she introduced the characters of a story using voice modulation with 3-D picture cards and puppets. During one session, students shared their knowledge and experiences about the city of Varanasi as the story revolved around the city. For another grade she began the session with thought-provoking questions about the meanings of fiction and non-fiction. As she narrated the story from “Chitty: A Dog and Her Forest Farm,” she skilfully modulated her voice and showcased beautiful illustrations, bringing the tale to life. At the end of the session, she encouraged them to share about their pets, prompting a delightful exchange of stories about their unique qualities.
